Yumiko Kodama, LCSW (LCS 24973) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, offering psychotherapy and counseling services in Greater Los Angeles, California since 2004. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Masters degree in Social Work. She gained her clinical experiences working at substance abuse adult residentail program and various community mental health programs. She has background of working with a variety of clients including children, adolescents, adults, and families, referred by Child Protective Service Agency, Welfare Agency, Court, and schools, in outpatient, field, school-based, and in-home settings. Her special interests include trauma work, domestic violence, infant mental health, and maternal mental health. She has treated trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, behavioral problems, ADHD, developmental disorder, substance abuse, and chronic mental illness at nonprofit community mental health clinic and in private practice.

Yumiko is a native of Japan. As born and raised in Japan, Yumiko reads, speaks and writes Japanese fluently. Such background allows her to provide culturally and linguistically sensitive and competent services to clients of Japanese decent. Yumiko enjoys working with clients of various cultural backgrounds and appreciates rich diversity that her clients bring to her work.
Yumiko lives in Orange County with her two school-age kids. She enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and art/cultural events.
